Drawn Together

Drawn Together is a fictional animated parody of reality TV shows on Comedy Central. Comedy Central advertises it as the first animated reality show. In it, eight cartoon characters (mostly recognizable parodies of cartoon archetypes) are forced to live in a house together. It is adult-oriented, with plot lines revolving around such topics as the fact that Princess Clara's vagina is a multi-tentacled monster (this is a theme found in a number of adult-oriented Japanese Anime films). In some episodes, characters participate in challenges that are based off of reality TV challenges.

Drawn Together was created by Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein, and first aired on 27 October 2004.

Characters

Captain Hero

Voiced by Jess Harnell. Captain Hero is a chauvinistic superhero with a frat-boy mentality. He is also a devoteé of bondage and crypto-homosexual behaviour. He is a macho parody of comic-book heroes like Superman.

Princess Clara

Voiced by Tara Strong. She is spoiled, pampered, racist royalty, and a spoof on Disney/storybook characters like Snow White and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She has a "special" cousin named Bleh. Her genitalia was cursed by her stepmother. She also has a crush on rebels like Spanky.

Ling-Ling

Voiced by Abbey McBride. He/it (Ling-Ling was placed on the male team in a parody of The Apprentice, but is usually called "it") is a spoof on Pikachu and speaks in an incomprehensible parody of Japanese. Though the other characters cannot understand it, they often pretend it is saying just what they want to hear. It is suggested that Spanky Ham can understand it, but doesn't bother to translate for the housemates. It releases an hallucinogenic enzyme when disappointed.

Foxxy Love

Voiced by Cree Summer. She is a sassy, promiscuous, African-American fox-girl, and a spoof on Valerie from Josie and the Pussycats. Foxxy in several lines on the show hints at a deranged relationship with her father, with elements of abandonment and a desire for her father. There are also hints that she gave up a child for adoption.

Spanky Ham

Voiced by Adam Carolla. He is a horny, dorky swine with no social skills, making fun of bad internet flash movies. He often bosses around other characters for his personal gain. He is a spoof on Porky Pig and also resembles porn star Ron Jeremy, who was featured in the reality show The Surreal Life.

Xandir

Voiced by Jack Plotnick. He is gay and a spoof of Link from the Legend of Zelda. Like many platform characters, he has multiple lives. Until he comes "out of the closet" he is on a "never ending quest to save his girlfriend" who is a spoof of the eponymous Zelda from the Legend of Zelda and other video game maidens. Thereafter he is on on "never ending quest to save his boyfriend", the boyfriend being a parody of Robin Williams's character, the Genie, from Disney's Aladdin.

Toot Braunstein

Voiced by Tara Strong. She is a feisty black & white former sex symbol and a spoof on Betty Boop. She cuts herself or overeats when depressed (which is often). She is upset when other characters are getting a lot of attention.

Wooldoor Sockbat

Voiced by James Arnold Taylor. He is a spoof on Spongebob Squarepants.
